The event has been a star-studded, country-jamming good time where the artists themselves are every bit as star struck as those of us who are fans. But it’s also an event that testifies to the way country artists step up to support each other and their community in pivotal ways.

For the We’re All for the Hall concert, Urban called on some of his good friends (and many of the acts who had opened up for him during his sold-out tours of recent years) and set the ticket price at $25 to ensure country music lovers of all walks of life could attend during difficult economic times—the musicians’ way of saying “Thank you” to Nashville and its throngs of country music supporters.

The performers who participate in We’re All for the Hall clearly revere their country music roots and take the opportunity to pay homage to the history that paved the way for the current country music culture.

“It’s one thing to photograph people; it’s another to make others care about them by revealing the core of their humanness.”

— Paul Strand
